German researchers studied the effects of extreme emotional investments in sporting events on fans' health. The results suggest you should take precautions if you are a New England Patriots or New York Giants fan, or if you have a large sum of money riding on the outcome. At the very least, you may want to review your life insurance policy before the big game.
