Better do a quick post this morning on this Anita Lee story in the Sun Herald on a motion for sanctions against Dickie Scruggs in the Wilson fee dispute case, the one in which Joey Langston pleaded guilty to trying to influence a judge. This paragraph seems explosive:[Wilson attorney Vicki] Slater said she learned how the conspirators communicated. If Scruggs had something to relay to DeLaughter, Peters and Scruggs' attorneys met before Peters had lunch with DeLaughter. If DeLaughter had a message to pass along, he told Peters over lunch, then Peters met with Scruggs' attorneys.
If this is true, what are the feds doing about it? Seems the Wilson investigation fell into a crater since Scruggs pleaded guilty.
